Hosta 'Praying Hands'

Availability: Out of stock

2011 Hosta of the Year. No other hosta like this one! It will stand out no matter where you plant it!
Description

Details

Looks like no other hosta! Unusually tight, folded dark-green, crinkled leaves and yellow-gold margin turning white on the end of a long, upright petiole. Each green leaf is rolled and folded into a tube shape, displaying the prominent veins on the back and shiny underside - very unique. So different it is a conversation piece! Gerry Williams discovered this hosta while shopping at a nursery near Pequot Lakes, MN. He thought the folded leaves look like hands folded in prayer. Lavender flowers on an 18" scape.

i received my first plant in the "Wiggles and Waves" bundle. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered three more. I have had all of my plants between one and two weeks and they all are healthy and they all have several new leaves already. (Posted on July 30, 2016)

Nice upright hosta, keeps shape all season.

I purchased this as part of a bundle, they are a great value. So while I did get another of these in this bundle, I had this plant in my garden for a few years, it's unique growing habit is a nice break in a hosta garden.

While the plants in a bundle are small they are super healthy and are a great way to feed my hosta "obsession"!! ;) Don't judge...you know what I mean!! (Posted on June 27, 2016)

I really like this plant. It keeps the "folded" look to it's leaves, and remains upright despite rain or heat. (Posted on August 28, 2015)

This is a really cool and unique host. Unfortunately, out of the three varieties I purchased it was the only one to not survive the Dallas winter. Too bad:-( (Posted on April 1, 2015)
