Small, round, heavily textured heart-shaped blue leaves. New spring leaves appear with fine white line along edges. Slug-resistant! Height 4-5", with flower scape reaching 6-7". Flowers are bell-shaped. A sport of 'Blue Cadet.' Emile & Jane Deckert registered the hosta in 2002. The name came to Emile when he noticed the shape of the unfurling new leaves in the spring! Fantastic little plants
I bought a bunch of these earlier in the summer to fill in a gap in my shady bed where several overgrown shrubs had been removed. They arrived beautifully packaged, with obvious care (dare I say affection) and immediately took to their new home. I actually got several blooms within a few weeks, even though they were still just wee little plants. The blooms are lush, and stand out more than typical hostas. I'm actually growing them for their blooms more than their leaves. Beautiful little plants. I'm getting more. Have a few more shrubs that will have to go.

Fun plant
I love this little guy. I have Blue M Ears in an old fashioned metal pot with other mini's.

Favorite small hosta so far
I love this tough velvety little bundle of blue. When I purchased him he was a root w two leaves. Every year the tough little guy comes back and makes me smile. He spreads and matures more each year and that's half the fun.

great full shade mini
Where this is planted is sun-free and it is very happy. It is a little slow growing but is vigorous. This is a very nice blue mini.

The cutest thing
I've had my blue mouse ears hosta for 2.5 years and it just gets cuter each year. Beautiful blue and nicely shaped little leaves with a beautiful bloom. Have to stop myself from buying more and more...

Great purchase
My Blue Mouse Ears looks great! Thank you so much for this adorable little dual-shoot. It already has a beautiful glaucous bloom despite being so young. I can't wait to see what it will look like when it matures.
