I planted it last fall. It was one of the last up hosta's, but it's growth surpassed all my other hosta's. Best looking blooms out of any of the hosta's I own. Currently my favorite hosta. (Posted on July 23, 2016)

Eye-Popping, Brilliant Color & Element Resistant Review by Janet

Summer's early morning Sun and Deep South humidity are not affecting the young plants. I mist them daily, late in the afternoon.

By this time, I would know if these beautiful hostas would make it through heat and humidity so oppressive as to be a wide-open sauna. They're going to be fine.

Most notable of all to me is the color - the brilliant lime green/gold color is not fading, even in these young plants. The growth rate IS fast, based upon a month in fertile, loamy soil. Tripled leaf count.

In conclusion, I an eager for the day when "Sum and Substance" spreads it's leaves and flies!!

I planted a start in November here in Virginia. It's now a bit over 3 ft wide in mid-May, looking like it could be divided right now. And such a great color. You can see it from far away. (Posted on May 20, 2016)

One of my favorites Review by Kellie

This Hosta has quickly filled in and grown into a show piece. The color is beautiful and I always have questions about this particular Hosta from visitors. Mine is planted in poor soil, but I feed it multiple times a year with the water from my fish tank with great results. It's planted in an area where I normally struggle with slugs, but I've had it since 2012 & haven't experienced the first issue. (Posted on January 13, 2016)

Of my 3 clumps of this plant, the 2 in more sun grow This could be because of the sun the slugs back off. The greenish yellow leaves still look terrific in early September. This is a tough hosta. (Posted on September 3, 2015)
