Important information about shipping your order

2018 Growing Season 

  • Our 2018 start-of-shipping was delayed due to extreme cold and snow in March/April. We ask for your patience as we complete shipping our backlog of early spring orders. At this time, new orders are shipping within approximately 7-10 business days of order placement. 

  • On the day your order ships, you will receive an email shipping confirmation with USPS Priority Mail Tracking Number.

  • Be aware that the following depends upon the plant's genetics: 1) Some varieties shipped early in the season (April-June) may have emerging leaves.  2)  After breaking dormancy, hostas take about 1 to 2 weeks to leaf out. 3) Plants vary in their foliage and plant rate of growth - some varieties naturally break dormancy earlier/later or grow faster/slower than others.  

  • You may specify a 'ship after' date in the Comments area during the checkout process which means that your order will ship on or as soon as possible after that date, depending on our shipping schedule.

Our policies

  • We ship Monday to Thursday (usually U.S.P.S. Priority Mail). USPS indicates that most Priority Mail shipments reach their destination within 1-3 business days.  Our shipping staff securely package your plants, wrapping them in moist paper so they are well-hydrated and will do very well in transit.

  • Once our spring order backlog clears in early-to-mid May, orders generally ship within 5-7 business days.

Satisfaction Guarantee

We are well-known for the quality and packaging of our plants.  Our plants are disease-free, high-quality plants and perform well in gardens.  

  • We guarantee our plants for 30 days and to be in good condition, disease-free and properly named and labeled when you receive them. 

  • All claims regarding shortages, damaged plants, etc. must be made within 30 days of receipt of shipment. We will accept returns with a full refund if packaged in the original shipping container with original labels and shipped back to us within 5 days of your receipt of the package. Please notify us if you are returning a package so we can correctly process your return.

  • We are not responsible for any losses after 30 days including due to overwintering, lack of water, poor soil, poor growing location selection, pests, over-fertilizing, not covering your plants the first year in the fall, or other causes beyond our control.

  • Prices and inventory are subject to change. There are no pricing adjustments for plants purchased that are later put on sale.

  • All prices are final.
