Dark blue rounded leaves with glaucous bloom; cupped, more so than H.'Love Pat.' Rugose and good substance. Leaves are cupped up and down, sometimes as much as 4" deep. One of the leaves collected rain water and Clyde Crocket's dog drank from it, ergo the name. Abiqua is a Native American name for river.
Dark blue-green center with wide, irregular lime green-chartreuse margins that sometimes nearly reach the midrib. The leaf is round and corrugated with good substance. H.'Mayan Moon' was registered before H.'Abiqua Moonbeam' but the difference between the two has not yet been established. Abiqua is a Native American name for river. Margin size varies.
An upright grower with petioles erect but leaves held horizontally. Broadly cordated, heavy texture, rugose. Leaves are round, heart-shaped, light yellow and are puckered and lightly cupped.
Large, heart-shaped leaves with a clean, creamy-yellow margin. It forms a majestic clump with a stately, spreading form, suitable for underplanting with groundcovers. Pale lavender flowers in midsummer. A sister of seedling 'Mardi Gras.'
It is difficult to see "the fog" or "mist" in the center of the leaves these pictures. The folded, twisted, wavy leaves make this striking with the misted center!

Medio-variegated leaves with a fairly dark green border and, in spring, a whitish center that is handsomely speckled with green flecks, hence the "foggy" look. The center turns to a light greenish color later in the season. The name derives from Allegan County. home of Hopkins, Michigan and Englerth Gardens.
The plant displays a unique frosty blue-green color with a white border. The immature leaf is smooth but as the plant matures the leaf developes some rugosity on the surface.
This tetraploid version of H. 'Sea Thunder' was named in honor of Mildred Seaver, America's "First Lady of Hostas." Like its parent, it has green leaves with a white center. However, this tetraploid version has a much wider green margin and much thicker leaves, which are held more upright than H. 'Sea Thunder'. The margin size varies between 2"- 3".
Creamy white center edged and interspersed with light and medium green. The leaf center begins yellow and changes to white later in the season. Lightly cupped, lightly folded, moderately corrugated, and broadly ovate.
Possibly the only double blooming hosta; pure white, fragrant blooms! See all of the pictures! Technically H. plantaginea 'Aphrodite,' its roots lie in southern China, the farthest south of all hostas. Needs sun to bloom!

Double blooms! Very fragrant, large, 6" white flowers. Beautiful green shiny leaves. It is a little challenging to get it to bloom; we found that a little extra sun makes the blooms open. Smooth texture, average substance. This hosta, technically H. plantagenia 'Aphrodite' is a sport from plantagenia, the only species hosta with fragrance.
Forms a large, arching vase-shaped clump with dark green, heart-shaped leaves with variable yellow margins. Margin turns pure white by summer, and may streak into the leaf center. Heavy substance.
