Details
H. 'Thunderbolt' is a sport of the famous H. sieboldiana 'Elegans' (now just H. 'Elegans'). The very thick, heavily corrugated, waxy, rubbery, blue leaves have a lightning-like gold flash down the center, which turns creamy-white later in the season. It has near-white flowers in mid-summer. Similar leaf pattern but more blue-green than H. 'Striptease' and H. 'Gypsy Rose.' Truly a striking conversation piece. Has near-white flowers on 26" scapes appear in midsummer.
