Species; Thick, glossy, light green leaves, heart-shaped with wavy edges. Virtually slug-proof and one of the latest to flower. Hard to find until recently and much in demand for breeding. Lavender flowers. The dark deep green leaves have grayish undersides. Named 'Hachijo Giboshi' in Japan, from the "Hachijo hosta" area
