Details
Species: Light green leaves form a nice small mound for edging, turns gold in the fall. In Japanese 'Kanzashi Giboshi or the "ornamental hairpin" resembling the traditional Japanese hairpin worn by the women of Japan. There are a number of false names for it, including 'Burke's Dwarf', "Krossa E6," 'Bell Baby', and H. nakaimo minor. H. nakaiana and the similar specias H. capitata are the least drought tolerant of the genus. Both require shade and abundant watering.
