Top rated for years! I saw a clump of these from as far as 1/3 mile away on a golf course! Dark green with bright yellow-green margin that turns yellow and creamy white with some graying of the green where the margin overlaps. Slightly cupped at the base; often several gentle marginal undulations that twist at the tip. Pale lavender flowers in mid-summer. H. longipes, H. kikutii and H. montana cultivars and all of their variants and hybrids would be good choices to survive extremely dry and hot conditions.
