Details
A sport of the famous H. 'Sagae,' H. 'Liberty' has a wider, more dramatic border. Medium blue-green (changing to light green) center with a 2.5" bold, golden yellow margin. The leaves are even thicker than H. 'Sagae' indicating it is likely a polyploid. Like H. 'Sagae,' the yellow margin fades to creamy-white later in the season. Lavender flowers in early summer. Slug and sun-resistant. This hosta brought in $800 at the AHS auction in 2000.
