Details
Thick elongated blue-green leaves with a cream edge. It has a wavy margin and form a dense mound. The think leather-like substance inspired the name as 'lederhosen in German for "leather britches". Fragrant lavender flowers in late summer. Dorothy Benedict (Green Eyes), wife of Herb Benedict died, 8/4/02, 88 years young. Herb Benedict died 3/2/04 at 90 years of age. Both are sadly missed in the hosta community.
