Details
Species; green leaves, slightly wavy edged. Long tapered tip. Unusual rose-pink flowers. Commonly called 'Hyuga Giboshi' in Japan, meaning "hosta from Hyuga" region. Flowers in September. It is variable in size. This plant most vulnerable to slugs and snail damage. If drought conditions are evident the use of H. longipes, H. kikutii and H. montana cultivar's and all of their variants and hybrids would be a good choice to survive extreme dry and heat conditons.
