Details
The leaves are large, heart-shaped, lightly folded with wavy edges and prominent veins. They emerge early in spring with bright green centers, with brilliant, deep gold margins. The leaves later turn to a frosty, silvery-gray-green while the margins turn to creamy white. Sun- and slug-resistant with huge pale lavender flowers in July. Great vase-shaped form. One of the best in the genus Hosta! Legendary in Japan, it was discovered in the town of Sagae in northern Honshu. Formerly H. fluctuans 'Variegated.'
