Details
Gray at first, then metallic green; deeply impressed veins and slight marginal ruffling. This one is aptly named for its large, fragrant white flowers with purple anthers. Whoever said that hostas have ugly flowers hasn't seen this plant! It is one of the earliest fragrant blooming hostas. Reportedly is pod-fertile but rarely makes pollen. Combines the best traits of its parents, H. nigrescens and H. plantaginea.
