Hosta plant sizes vary greatly depending upon the genetics of the plant, growing zone, amount of water, sun, fertilizer, soil and age. Most hostas do not reach their mature size until they are 3 to 5 years old. They continue to add divisions from the circumference out. Although standards vary, we have categorized hostas sizes as:
