Details
This much sought-after Herb Benedict introduction is a result of H. 'Dorset Blue' breeding with itself. Displays H. tardiana similarities but this is not one of Eric Smith's group. The intense powder-blue round leaves form a tight 2' wide mound. In late spring, the clump is topped with light lavender flowers. Great among other small hostas. Becomes green later in the season; cupped. Won the Best Blue Leaf Award at the AHS Convention in 1996.
