Estimated Spring Shipping Dates

Spring shipping estimates (weather dependent!):

  1. Orders WITHOUT plants will be shipped ASAP.
  2. Orders WITHOUT Mature Divisions can be shipped starting March 19, 2012 but plants will be dormant.   Select your preferred early ship date during check out.  Be aware that plants shipped before April 15 may be dormant or have emerging leaves.  After breaking dormancy, hostas take about 1 to 2 weeks to leaf out.   Some varieties come out of dormancy and grow and faster or slower than others.
  3. Orders WITH Mature Divisions will begin shipping around the second week of May, weather permitting.
  4. If your order includes Starter (TC) and Advanced Starters AND Mature Division (grown in the ground) we will hold your order for shipping until we are able to ship Mature Divisions around the second week of May (weather permitting).  Otherwise, please place your Mature Division order separate from your Starter (TC) and Advanced Starter order.

Orders will NOT ship until all items are available to complete the order (excluding back orders).  If you desire to have your Starter (TC) and Advanced Starters shipped as early as possible in the spring, please place separate orders for Mature Divisions.   Thanks!

Our policies

  1. We ship Monday-Wednesday (usually U.S. Priority Mail). USPS studies show, on average, that 94% of packages are delivered within 2 days, and the balance in 3 days.  Our shipping staff make every effort to plan ship dates so that your plants are not in transit over a weekend.
  2. Orders placed before Sunday generally go out the following week, depending on our order volume.

We guarantee our plants are in good condition and properly labeled when we ship them.  We provide clear and detailed planting instructions with each order.  Obviously, we have no control of the plants after they leave our facility. Therefore, all claims of damaged plants must be made within 7 days of receiving your order. Our liability is limited to the cost of the plants.  We get very, very few complaints about the quality of our plants or how they arrive.  However, if you are unhappy with your plants, please keep them healthy and notify us if you wish to return them.  We will gladly refund the cost of your plants but will want them returned.
